Nikkiso CE&IG has now designed, manufactured, and delivered more than 400 cryogenic pumps for the aerospace market, and received recent orders for multiple natural gas (LNG) liquefiers. Collectively, orders from the sector have quadrupled year over year as the company continues supporting commercial and government-led launch programs worldwide.

The liquefiers are destined for launch facilities across the U.S., where they will liquefy natural gas on site, reducing dependence on delivered supply as launch schedules tighten.

Designed for high-demand launch applications, the cryogenic pumps move propellants from storage into the vehicle, delivering flow rates of up to 4,000 gallons per minute, the throughput required to load heavy-lift vehicles safely and within the pad turnaround times operators now expect.

As launch vehicle systems grow more complex and routine operations extend beyond low Earth orbit, ground infrastructure must accommodate new vehicles and a wider range of payloads without compromising safety or performance. Nikkiso CE&IG specializes in the transfer of cryogenic propellants, liquid oxygen (required by nearly every launch vehicle regardless of fuel choice), along with LNG and liquid hydrogen – from storage to flight vehicles.
